EIT Health Catapult: Make your healthtech business shine in front of investors Europe-wide

Are you a European healthcare startup working in the biotech, medtech and/or digital health areas? Are you hoping to close your next late seed, or Series A round of investment of at least €500K? Then this opportunity could be for you!

Meet EIT Health Catapult

Currently running its sixth edition, EIT Health Catapult is an accelerator initiative run by EIT Health. Its mission? To raise a new generation of health-related companies and future game-changers into a position where they improve the lives of patients and citizens in Europe.

How does it work? EIT Health Catapult boosts the development of European start-ups in biotech, medtech and/or digital health over a period of one year. The programme provides tailored mentoring from industry executives and investors, business plan support, pitching training and exposure in front of investors and potential partners.

Whatsmore, startups are in for a chance to win prizes of €40K (for first place), €20K (for second place) and €10K (for third place), across the 3 categories: biotech, medtech and digital. In addition, in-kind support will be available from international sponsors such as Nasdaq, Amazon Web Services and more joining the Catapult Prize Alliance.

The Catapult competition is also speeding up investment rounds for startups, such as the 2019 Biotech winner Sparing Vision, that raised €44.5 million nine months after ending the programme, the 2019 MedTech winner PKVitality, that closed a €2.25 million round, and inHEART who won the 2nd prize for Digital Health 2019, that closed a €3.7 million round in 2020, among many others.

EIT Health Catapult is looking for companies that have an innovative business idea and plan, and who are looking for European visibility and credibility to facilitate their way to investors.

There is only one intake per year, and EIT Health will soon be choosing it’s 2021 promotion class. This is your moment to join this great competition!
